hes my dad and you cant have him.

last year, a few days just before my 19 birthday mom brought over him. she had meet him like 5 0r 6 years ago and they had been friends. now they where dating.

for a kid who has only ever called 1 man dad (and that stopped when i turned 10 ) and had put up with the asshole boyfriends of my mom, i did not care.

ya another one i thought , what the hell might as well talk to this one.

(i had been band of the last ones property and been told if he sees me he would slap me , man that did not go over well all cause i told him what i really thought of him, and it was all the truth)

he stated that he just wanted to be friends nothing more nothing less ,he wanted to now us and talk to us . he thought we where cool and sweet, little bro (age 17) and me . he was okay , he passed the test . hes not an ass , he knows all about kool things and OMG did you say chicken and pony farm. so i could like go gather eggs and feed the chickens . over time he has proven to be one of the most amazing people i now .

on my 19 birthday my mom forgot it - way ta go mom, looking at the July month on the calender in June. so he took us out for super and did not care that i had no idea where i wanted to go so he drove around to all the places and did laps of the town until i could decided.

he moved me out of my moms house (the first time) into m

y own house putting up with the fact that i forgot to finish packing, then moved me out of my first house when the plans fell through the cracks and i again forgot to finish packing . mom and him where at it tell like 4 am and he had to work at 6 am. (so did mom) then he moved me out of my second house a few months later and back at home , (NEVER rent with a friend /friends or listen to a friend when they say they have a plan )

he listen to me talk , like really listen , told me things about his childhood , made me laugh. he became a confidant.

he likes jokes and has a sense of humor to match mine .

he put up with relatives that even family have trouble being around for very long. he did without for them and us .

he drove me around when he did not really have gas or the money.

he put up with the Christmas disaster that is our family.

he LOVES my MOM , like there is no one else .

and when i called him dad for the first time he cried , and told me how much he loved me and little bro and how he did not want to push us into loving him , and he would be proud to have us as his kids.

he and mom are getting married this new years .

for these facts he is my DAD!

i want to say a special happy fathers day to all the dads who step up to the plate when they could have found someone easier to date. to all the dads who remembered that dating a woman with kids is a packaged deal , and still stuck around . who should up to events and just listen and stuck it out through the weird getting to now you stage.
